Do you know what I call a balanced recipe? One that is full of flavor with only a few simple ingredients! Amish Peanut Butter spread is exactly that.

Amish Peanut Butter Spread

I love easy delicious recipes like this! Amish Peanut Butter Spread has only 7 ingredients in it. I’m going to bet that you probably have everyone of them in your pantry already.

Ok, maybe, you’ll have to get the marshmallow creme on your next grocery run, but the rest of the ingredients, you got this Sweetie. (And why get it on your next run when you can order marshmallow creme on Amazon, am I right?)

This delicious peanut butter spread has a slight cook time that amounts to a total of about 10 minutes. It also has a refrigeration time of about 30 minutes after the cook time, to thicken it. This peanut butter spread is easy to make and perfect not only for everyday use but parties as well. We’re going to make the recipe together so let’s gather the ingredients.

Amish Peanut Butter Spread Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Tablespoons corn syrup
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow creme
  • 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract

We start Amish Peanut Butter Spread by placing the sugar, water and butter in a medium size saucepan. Place the pan over high heat and bring the ingredients to a boil. Stir the corn syrup into the boiled ingredients in the pan, reduce the heat to low and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.

Add the peanut butter, marshmallow creme and vanilla to the pan. Stir the ingredients until they are well blended. Place the Amish Peanut Butter Spread into a bowl, refrigerate the spread 30 minutes or until it has thickened.

Amish Peanut Butter Spread can be used as an appetizer using fresh fruits or veggies such as celery or carrots or pretzels! I absolutely love the flavors or sweet and salty together. It can also be used as a spread for toast or bagels for a quick breakfast. This one’s a keeper Kids, ENJOY!

Why call it Amish when it’s not? I hate that on Pinterest. If I want Amish recipes I’ll try to buy one in our area from them. And I’m not sure they even publish one.

You may know the name of this recipe as “Church Spread” if you live near the Amish. It is indeed an Amish recipe.

Very inappropriate for Carol to spout off at Mary Bostow when she has no evidence to support her accusations. I say put up or shut up Carol and go elsewhere for your rude unproven comments!!!! I THINK YOU SAID IT CORRECT WHEN YOU SAID YOU WOULD JUST BUY IT FROM THE AMISH IN YOUR AREA SO JUST DO THAT!!!

I live in Ohio where many Amish live and I am quite familiar with this delicious spread. Maybe you should’ve looked into how common it is before you went off and criticized sweet Mary!
